Matthew Fairchild became the Principal of Beverly Elementary the fall of 2022. His professional journey started in Australia and later he taught at Center Line Public Schools, covering various grade levels. After that, he spent five years at Berkshire Middle School. Before returning to Birmingham Public Schools, he worked as an assistant principal at Rochester Community Schools.

Principal Fairchild holds a Bachelor of Arts in Education from Central Michigan University and a Master of Arts in Education with a focus on K-12 Education Administration from Michigan State University. Along with his wife, he enjoys traveling and spending quality time with their family and friends. They have two children. He takes great pride in being a part of BPS and the Beverly team.
